Manchester United have not inserted a buy-back clause in the deal to send James Garner to Everton, according toThe Athletic.

The Toffees have agreed a 15.5million fee for the 21-year-old, with 9million to be paid upfront and the rest in performance-related add-ons - Manchester United will receive a percentage of any future sales but do not have the right to buy the midfielder back for a set price.

Frank Lampards Blues have beaten Southampton, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest to the England under-21s signature, but still have plenty of work to do if they are to finalise the deal by tomorrows 11pm deadline.

Everton are set for a very busy end to the transfer window as Frank Lampard continues to strengthen right up until the last minute.

The summer window closes at 11pm on tomorrow, and at least one or two more signings are highly likely to join the likes of James Tarkowski, Conor coady and Amadou Onana at Goodison Park.

Reports earlier today suggest deals for James Garner and Idrissa Gueye are both in motion, while interest in several others from across Europe suggests there could be more.

The ECHO have looked at five potential arrivals and you can read about them allHERE.

Everton are in talks with Villareal over a deal for Samuel Chukwueze, according to San Sebastian radio station,Radio Estadio.

The Toffees are in talks over an initial season-long loan for the 23-year-old, with an obligation to buy for a reported 45million (38.8million).

Nigerian international Chukwueze has 25 goals in 162 appearances for the Spanish outfit and 24 caps for his country.

Danny Murphy has insisted he is surprised that Manchester United have sanctioned a deal to allow James Garner to depart for Everton.

The 21-year-old is set to return to Merseyside in a 15m deal that would see Frank Lampard complete his seventh signing of the summer window, with Sky Sports News reporting that a transfer has already been agreed between the two clubs for Garner.

Former Everton loanee Anwar el-Ghazi has today completed a permanent transfer to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.

The 27-year-old turned out just twice for the Toffees last season and has shared his delight at making the switch.

Having fallen out of favour under Steven Gerrard, el-Ghazis arrival could now perhaps hint at Cody Gakpos exit with the window just over 24 hours away from closing.

Very happy with my next step. Looking forward to play for

According to Samuel Luckhurst of the MEN, James Garners transfer fee will be in the region of 15m in total, with Manchester United also inserting a sell-on clause.

The sum of 8m is believed to have been accepted, as the 21-year-old looks certain to secure a move back to Merseyside later this week.

An England Under-21 international too, Garner has impressed at every level of the Three Lions set-up but has failed to do so regarding Erik ten Hags plans for this season. Casemiros arrival has certainly moved things along too it seems...

Final overall fee for James Garner is 15m

Chelsea have ended their pursuit of Everton winger Anthony Gordon with the player now expected to stay on Merseyside this summer.

The Blues had made bids of up to 45million for the 21-year-old but with Thursdays deadline now closing in any deal looks unlikely.

Everton are said to be close to agreeing deals for both Idrissa Gueye and James Garner, with theEvening Standardreporting how Gordon is not expected to depart the club this month.

Everton are said to be edging closer and closer to agreeing a deal for Manchester United midfielder James Garner.

The 21-year-old will return to Merseyside for a fee rumoured to be in the region of 15m, becoming Frank Lampards seventh summer signing.

Having enjoyed a strong loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season, the Premier League new boys were hotly tipped to sign the Reds midfielder but it seems the Toffees have nipped in at the right time.

Sky Sportshave since reported the deal and fee are both in place with all the paperwork set to be tied up before Thursdays 11pm European deadline.

More on Evertons possible late move for Villarreal winger Samu Chukwueze.

Accoring to Spanish papaerMarca, the Blues are preparing a deal to bring the 23-year-old Nigerian to Merseyside.

It is understood that the Blues are looking to do an initial loan deal with a mandatory purchase option of around 45million (38.8million).

Should the deal be proposed as stated and agreed, it will be the most expensive transfer in Villarreals history, according toMarca.

Before you rush out and get Gakpo printed on the back or your new Everton shirt, it would appear that the Blues could be out of the running.

Mohammed Kudus fails to turn up for Ajax training

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has reportedly refused to turn up for training after the Amsterdam club blocked his proposed move to Everton.

According to Netherlands outletDe Telegraaf, personal terms have already been agreed between the Ghanaian international and the Blues, who was committed to making the switch to Premier League football. But Ajax do not want Kudus to leave, resulting in an impasse.

De Telegraaf journalistMike VerweijTweeted: MohammedKudusrefuses to train and wants to go toEverton. After transfers Martinez and Antony there is an idea that striking pays off atAjax.

Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch claimed thatEvertonwere guilty of terrible time-wasting during Tuesdays 1-1 draw between the two clubs.

Frank Lampards side took the lead at Elland Road, but the home side responded in the second half through Luis Sinisterra to level proceedings.

Antony Gordon, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea for several weeks, grabbed his second goal in two matches with a smart finish past Illan Meslier in the first period.

Despite the points being shared, Leeds boss Marsch was frustrated with Evertons approach to the latter stages of the match - with the American even pointing towards his watch when Jordan Pickford took his time over a goal kick.

Marsch went on to suggest that the Blues time-wasting was terrible and claimed that Evertons players were attempting to take the energy out of Elland Road.

Yeah that [time-wasting] was terrible. It is classic. For me, you can see when the players of Everton are kicking the ball away in the first minute of the game. It is clear they want to take the energy out of Elland Road, he told BT Sport.

This is an entertainment business and I wish the referee had handled that bit a little better. After it was 1-1 it became entertaining, but it was too late. The referee had the chance to affect the game and did not take advantage of that.

Everton are chasing PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo according to reports.

The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from a host of Premier League clubs throughout the summer, including Nottingham Forest (of course), Manchester United, Leeds United and Southampton. But Telegraph reporter Jason Burt says that the Blues are now in for the Netherlands international.

Burt Tweeted: Everton and Leeds United have now joined Southampton in trying to sign PSV Eindhovens Cody Gakpo. Manchester United no longer interested having signed Antony.

Everton are set to win the race to sign James Garner from Manchester United, according to theTelegraph.

The Blues have faced competiton for his signature from Southampton, Leicester and Nottingham Forest. Wirral-born Garner was on loan with the latter last season, helping them to win promotion to the Premier League, but it looks like a move back to Merseyside is on the cards for the 21-year-old central midfielder.

It is understood that the fee could be around 15million including add-ons.

Ben Brereton Diaz could get move away from Blackburn for free

Ben Brereton Diaz celebrates after scoring for Blackburn Rovers against West Brom at the weekend

Rumoured Everton target Ben Brereton Diaz could bide his time over a move away from Blackburn in order to secure a free transfer.

The Chilean international has received pre-contract proposals from both Celta Vigo and Nice, who are prepared to wait for the strikers contract to run-down. Thats according to theDaily Mail, who claim Valencia and Villarreal are also interested in agreeing a pre-contract.

Stoke-born Brereton Diaz has less than 12 months to run on his current deal at Ewood Park and can start speaking to clubs in January.

But Everton could still scupper the interests of overseas clubs by making an offer in the next 24 hours.

One player who has been linked with a move to Goodison Park but appears to be heading elsewhere is Adnan Januzaj.

The former Manchester United forward is out of contract after leaving Real Sociedad and was available on a free transfer, but San Sebastian radio station,Radio Estadio, says that the 27-year-old will undergo a medical at Sevilla today and is therefore set to stay in La Liga.

Frank Lampard appears to have turned his attentions to La Liga in search of a new attacking option.

According to San Sebastian radio station,Radio Estadio, the Blues are in advanced talks to bring Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze to Goodison Park. Negotiations ongoing...

Frank Lampard makes Neal Maupay claim

Frank Lampard has admitted that he was planning to use Neal Maupay in Evertons match against Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The Blues confirmed the signing of their new striker on Friday evening, as he signed a three-year contract following his arrival from Brighton. However, he wasnt named in the squad when the Blues made the trip to Elland Road days later thanks to a Premier League rule over his registration.

The organisation only allows signings to be registered if they are signed at 12pm on the last working day before a match, meaning that the bank holiday on Monday ruled out the 26-year-old for this clash. Lampard reiterated his confusion over the rule, and revealed that he had only found out on Monday morning that his new player couldnt take part.

The boss told his post-match press conference: It is what it is with Neal. It is just interesting we signed him on the Friday afternoon and because of bank holiday weekend he isnt able to play on Tuesday night. It seems like a long time.

So I wasnt aware of it until late, we prepared the game with Neal in mind and then that changed. We didnt have that option of Neal to start or on the bench and we know we wanted an extra option.

Its just the way it went.

Sporting Lisbon are understood to be ramping up their efforts to sign Arthur Melo from Juventus, depsite Everton reportedly opening talks with the midfielder.

A sticking point with Melo has been his wages, but according toCalciomercato, The Old Lady are now prepared to cover this cost in order to loan him out before the transfer window closes.

TuttoMercatoWEBreports that Everton have been looking at the terms of a season-long switch, with a loan fee likely to be required instead of cover the 26-year-olds wages of around 131,000 per week.

But unless the Toffees can agree a sum, the Brazilian international could be off to Sporting. Newscastle United are also understood to have shown interest in the player earlier in the summer.

James Garner race to go to the wire

Everton are reportedly still interested in bringing James Garner to Goodison Park before tomorrows transfer deadline day.

But the Blues face competition from Southampton, who according to Fabrizio Romano, had an offer rejected by Manchester United last weekend.

Speaking toWett Freunde, Romano said: And Garner could be a permanent deal. Because Southampton made an offer over the weekend but Man Utd declined. You rejected the first offer. But Everton are also interested.

In the next 24-48 hours, (James) Garner could be the next player to leave Man Utd.

Birkenhead-born Garner came through the Youth Academy at United, after joining them at U8s level and has made seven first team appearances for the Red Devils. He spent the last two seasons on loan with Nottingham Forst, helping them to gain promotion back to the Premier League.

The protracted return of midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye to Goodison Park could be completed today.

The Senegalese international has already agreed terms with Everton but hit a stumbling block when current club Paris Saint Germain refused to allow him to terminate his contract, however it looks like a breakthrough has been made.

On Tuesday evening, journalist Alan Myers Tweeted: Im told Gana Gueye will cost Everton around 10M (8M) expected to have medical tomorrow.
